NOTABLE MENTIONS...
JACQUES FATH
boss hunting magazine, spring 2025
Jacques Fath’s L’Iris de Fath was highlighted in Australian men’s lifestyle magazine, Boss Huntung, in an article featuring raw materials in modern perfumery and the artistry behind the creations.
Worth the Squeeze
Orris root, often called “blue gold,” is another example of raw material luxury. Its rhizomes take up to five years to mature, followed by years of curing to develop the desired aroma. Only two to four kilograms of orris butter are produced for every tonne of rhizomes. French house Jacques Fath celebrated the material in their 2018 release, L’Iris de Fath (US$1380), a recreation of the iconic Iris Gris. “The sophisticated and elegant scent of natural orris is difficult to replicate synthetically, making it irreplaceable in luxury perfumery – and, of course, very expensive,” explains Creative Director, Rania Naim. Orris root aside, L’Iris de Fath features jasmine absolute from Grasse (in France’s Côte d’Azur region, known as the world’s perfume capital), Turkish rose, and carnation, with a Bourbon vetiver, and sandalwood base. At over $2,000 for 30ml, it’s an indulgence to savour.
ISABEY PARIS
citizenk magazine, summer 2024
Isabey’s newest fragrance, Rue de la Paix, was featured in the Summer 2024 edition of CitizenK magazine in a segment focused on Parisian perfume houses.
Paris at a Glance
In the wake of beautiful neighborhoods
“Unless, in the Monopoly of Parisian addresses on the bottles, you’d rather push on to Rue de la Paix? Attributed to a Guerlain perfume from 1908, the name now designates a creation by the historic Isabey house, whose boutique was located on this street in the 1920s. Celebrating the brand’s centenary, composed by Patrice Revillard, a rising star in independent perfumery, the juice combines ylang, jasmine and tuberose to evoke a fresh note of narcissus adorned with peach of breathtaking naturalness.”
PANOUGE PARIS
approved magazine, fall 2024
Ambre Carthage from the Panouge Paris Perle Rare Collection, was featured in the Fall 2024 edition of Approved magazine in a segment around on autumn fragrances.
House of Perfumes
“Autumn is approaching and with it, new fragrance creations waft into our lives like colorful leaves from the trees. Now heavy fragrances are allowed back on the skin. Warm, appealing vanilla, spicy cinnamon, self-conscious oud or woody autumn accords provide a cozy feeling of security. Our favorites herald a powerful, luxurious and sophisticated autumn. And perfume art of the extra class also deserves a corresponding home. That’s why we shot the fragrance gems in the beautiful “Chalet Mimi” in Oberlech. A place that embraces us and embodies unpretentious luxury.”
